Templeton Albert Players Awards 2007 / 2008
Templeton Albert held their annual Awards night at the St Rollox Bowling Club. Templeton Albert manager Jim Anderson with Billy Carmichael, Wullie Malone and Tam Sannachan were presented with this years League Cup and Greater Glasgow Premier League awards. Templeton have now won the GGPL for a 2nd season. Well done to the management and committee for improvements to the Templeton Club.

Well done to both Alistair and Craig for their awards and the club would like to thank Brian Blair as captain and the Templeton pool for their excellence this year in winning the Glasgow League but also making the Semi final of the West of Scotland cup. Finally a last congratulations to the Management team for delivering another good year.
Templeton enjoyed the GGPL who have a very good setup with excellent teams. We wish them the best for the future as we prepare to join the Scottish Amateur Football League.

Templeton Albert was established in 1919 as the Glasgow Welfare League was founded.
The main idea was to build a league for Glasgow teams to compete at football following the 1914 -1918 war
Templeton Carpets, who were the main employer in the East end of Glasgow, sponsored football teams from all the Templeton carpet factories, they were :

In season 2003 / 2004 Templeton Albert were crowned league winners in the Greater Glasgow 3rd Division football league and are promoted for the first time in their history to the 2nd Division. Well done to Alex Robertson the manager and the team for a fantastic seasons results made better by being undefeated, we believe the first team to complete a season undefeated
